Experienced French teachers Carmen VanAlstine and Charlotte Rouchouze founded Queen City French in 2023 when they noticed a need in the language-learning scene in Charlotte.
Carmen and Charlotte envisioned a school that would focus on building fluency and a community of adults interested in French. They started from the ground up and have been hard at work to bring this vision to life.
Today, the Queen City French experience includes socials, wine nights and conversation sessions.
As of 2025, Queen City French classes are held at a cafe in South Park, but who knows what the future will bring! At Queen City French, you can expect to build strong foundations in French language, learn about French-speaking cultures, and make friends.

Group Classes
​$395 for 8 weeks of 90 minute classes
Adult group classes enable peer-to-peer conversation practice to learn in a more engaging environment. Our group classes are typically taught by both of our instructors and we have a lot of fun!
We can reserve a full group for family lessons too.
